1st Lady Walker
Ada Foxworth Walker was the first born child to Essie and Dee Foxworth of Foxworth, Mississippi. She attended and graduated with honors from Marion Central High School in Marion County. Her educational pursuits continued onto the campus of The University Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi where she earned a B.S (1972) and a M. Ed(1975) in education and educational supervision. Her educational career spans some thirty plus years.
Sister Walker considers her greatest blessings and accomplishments to be: marrying her husband, now Superintendent Jerry Walker, in 1976; joining The Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Supt. Jesse Eaton; accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord; receiving the Baptism in the Holy Ghost; being honored to give birth to four wonderful sons: Joseph (Nicole), Jerry Jr (Kylie), Nelson (Scharri),and Matthew; and leading someone to receive salvation and the baptism in the Holy Ghost.
Retired but not finished, 1st Lady Walker is a “Woman on Business for the King” doing all to do her best in kingdom building. She works diligently with her husband in the work of the local church as well in the District. Her desire is to see people saved and baptized with the Holy Ghost; to see the saints children saved; and to promote marriage and holy living; and educational improvement. Her theme for the local ministry is:” It’s about Salvation and Education.”
She serves as First Lady of District Thirteen and has been a major contributor to the success of God’s work in the District.
